อย่างที่ได้เรียนกันไปแล้วว่า Participles ได้แก่ Present Participle และ Past
Participle มีการใช้งานที่ต่างกันและเมื่ออยู่ในรูป Verbal ก็ยังใช้งานได้ต่างกันเช่นกัน
3.1 Present Participle (Verb Base
+ ing) สามารถใช้เป็น คำคุณศัพท์ (Adjective) ได้ซึ่งจะบ่งบอกว่าคำนามที่มันขยายนั้นกำลังทำอะไรอยู่ เช่น
The spinning wheels were braked immediately.
The dancing boys of Afghanistan performed their performance
on November, 7th 2011.
The winning athlete will be announced February 21st,
2011.
She moved a swinging fan by herself.
Sunai brings up his drinking water.
Suda seems like a working woman.
3.2 Past Participle (Verb Base + ed) สามารถใช้เป็น คำคุณศัพท์ (Adjective) ได้ซึ่งจะบ่งบอกว่าคำนามที่มันขยายนั้นกำลังถูกทำอะไรอยู่
เช่น
My opened window was bought from Italy.
His banned card was last used at the ATM in front of this
store.
Your scratched discs must be repaired by the end of this
week.
We found that sunken ship in 2001.
Nobody comes from the boycotted countries.
A
female elephant was delivering a new born elephant.
